Hyderabad is building faster than almost any city in India — new apartment towers in the west, villa communities on the ORR, and non-stop renovation work in established neighbourhoods. Every one of those projects has the same expensive risk: finished flooring getting ruined by the work that follows it.
This guide covers everything Hyderabad customers ask us about floor protection sheets: what they are, when to install them, what affects the price, and how coverage works across the city.
Why floor protection matters more in Hyderabad's construction boom
In most Hyderabad projects, flooring goes in early — tiles, marble or wood are laid, then carpenters, painters, electricians and false-ceiling teams work on top of them for weeks or months. A single dropped hammer chips a vitrified tile; dragged cement bags leave permanent scratches on marble; paint and putty dust settle into grout lines. Replacing a damaged tile months after purchase rarely works because matching batches are gone.
A professionally installed protection sheet costs a small fraction of what re-polishing or re-laying flooring costs, which is why builders and interior designers across Hyderabad now include it as a standard line item.
Which sheet material suits which floor?
- PP (polypropylene) sheet — the workhorse for general site protection on vitrified tiles and granite. Tough, reusable and quick to lay.
- Floor Guard sheet — heavier duty, for long-duration projects and high-traffic passages.
- Bubble Guard sheet — cushioned, for newly laid tiles, imported marble and engineered wood, where impact absorption matters. Read more on our tile protection service.
Areas we cover in Hyderabad
We are based at New Mallepally and install across the entire city and nearby areas — Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Gachibowli, HITEC City, Kondapur, Madhapur, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Manikonda, Tolichowki, Mehdipatnam, Attapur, Secunderabad, Uppal, LB Nagar, Kompally, Shamshabad and Tellapur. Villas, apartments, hotels, hospitals, showrooms and office fit-outs are all regular work for our teams.
What decides the price?
Floor protection is priced per square foot, and the final rate depends on three things: the total floor area, the sheet material chosen (PP, Floor Guard or Bubble Guard), and how long the protection needs to stay down. Staircases and passages are included in the measurement. Because rates change with material costs, the fastest way to get an accurate figure is to WhatsApp us your approximate area — we reply with a clear quote the same day.
When should you book?
The ideal time is immediately after flooring work finishes and before any other trade starts — or one day before painters arrive if you need before-paint protection. A standard 2-3 BHK apartment is usually covered within a few hours, so protection rarely delays a project schedule.
