Drop cloths and newspaper move around, leak at the joins and get soaked through. Our before-paint service covers every room being painted edge-to-edge with PP or Floor Guard sheet, with perimeter edges sealed along walls and doorways where drips concentrate.
Spills, splatter and sanding dust land on the sheet and stay there. When painting finishes, we lift everything away and your floor is spotless — no scraping, no solvent cleaning, no re-polishing.

Schedule before painting
We install just before painting begins — ideally one day ahead of the painters.
Cover every room
Sheets are laid edge-to-edge in all rooms and passages on the painting schedule.
Seal the perimeter
Edges along walls, skirting and doorways are taped, where drips are heaviest.
Reveal clean floors
After the final coat dries, we remove the sheets to reveal untouched flooring.
Before-Paint Protection — common questions
When should the sheets be installed?
Ideally one day before painting starts, so the painters walk onto a fully protected floor from the first coat.
Can this be combined with tile protection?
Yes — many customers combine before-paint sheeting with Bubble Guard tile protection for complete coverage through the whole project.
What happens if paint spills on the sheet?
Nothing — that is the job. The sheet absorbs the spill and the flooring under it stays dry and clean.
Do you cover exterior painting too?
Yes. Balconies, walkways and other exterior surfaces below the painting area can be sheeted as well.
